What is a DVD Slideshow?

FilmBeetle will use your photo prints, negatives, slides, or digital images to produce a DVD Slide Show with optional background music. Additionally, you may request captions and special transitions between the slides.

The basic process is that you send us your photos and we mail back a DVD video along with your original photos.

How should I package and ship my photos?

The most important things to worry about when shipping photos is that they do not move around in the package and the package does not easily bend. For small orders, a bubble wrap envelope is sufficient. For larger orders a small box is more appropriate. In any case, make sure the photos do not move easily in the package and make sure the package does not bend easily.

How much does it cost?

How long does this take?

Typically, we will complete orders within one to two days of the order being recieved. However, you must factor in the ship in and ship out time. In total, you should expect about a one and a half week turn around time. Special request rush orders can be made with an additional fee.

What is your scanning quality?

We scan in at the highest effective resolution for the medium being digitized. Many companies advertise scanning at very high bitrates for photo prints. The truth is that you can never make an image better than the source (barring certain optimization techniques for poor quality photos). Experts will sometimes argue over the highest effective resolution for a particular medium, however we can assure you that your prints will be scanned in at the highest practical quality. You will be very pleased with the results we produce.

How hard is this to do?

It is very easy. However, the more customization you desire the longer it may take you to prepare the orderform and package your photos for delivery.
